AERIAL HAMMOCKThe Aerial Hammock is an apparatus used most commonly for Aerial Yoga, Aerial Sling & Aerial fitness classes. This apparatus is the made of the same material as the aerial silks, just tied differently to create a “loop”. Classes using the aerial hammock can include warm ups, conditioning, stretching, tricks, inversions & restorative movements.
Aerial Yoga: Aerial Yoga is an ongoing class that uses the aerial hammock to move through yoga and other poses. These classes include elements of stretching, strengthening, balance and inversions. All of our aerial yoga classes are mixed level and appropriate for beginners and all levels. ** PLEASE NOTE: Space is very limited in this class** Beginner Aerial: This class covers basic fundamentals. Participants will learn the basics of the aerial hammock, inversions, vocabulary, as well as basic tricks. It is designed for people with little or no aerial silks experience. These classes include elements of stretching, strengthening, and balance. This class is appropriate for beginners. Aerial Sling: A mixed level class that uses the aerial hammock to learn a variety of skills, tricks, drills & sequences. It is designed for students who are interested in using the hammock as an aerial apparatus to build strength, develop a larger aerial vocabulary & skill set. This is a great addition to students currently taking aerial silks classes as it will explore familiar skills, help build body awareness & expand your aerial knowledge. This class is builds on the Beginner Aerial class on Mondays and is suitable for any level…beginners welcome! *Please note this is not an aerial yoga class* |
AERIAL SILKSAerial Silks
Aerial silks, also known as aerial fabrics or tissue, is an apparatus that has two long tails that drape down from the hanging point. Silks allow the aerialist to train various techniques including climbing, wrapping, inverting, locks and drops. An aerial silks class consists of a proper cardiovascular warm-up and flexibility training and is followed by guided instruction. Beginner Aerial Silks: This class covers the basic fundamentals of aerial silks. Participants will learn to climb, invert, and lock in, as well as basic tricks. It is designed for people with little or no aerial silks experience. Participants will be required to master the skills taught in Aerial Silks Basics before moving on to the Aerial Silks classes. Drills: A fitness class for aerialists looking to train for those more challenging skills. Not for the faint of heart, this class will focus on building strength, body awareness, and flexibility for more advanced skills. Prerequisites: Students must attend at least one Aerial Silks Basics class. Level 1 Aerial Silks: This class builds upon the skills learned in Beginner Aerial Silks. This class requires pervious silks experience, students are required to pass the Level 1 Test and meet all skill requirements before attending. |
